Resilient Canvas is an intentional 5-day gallery residency designed to give youth a safe and beautiful space to ground themselves in art. Inside the gallery, your child will find a supportive community where they can safely explore their voice, build internal strength, and discover just how much capacity they have to shape their own story—culminating in a public exhibition where the youth will completely title, curate, and install their own professional art show.
About The Artist(b. 1987) Aja Moon is a DC Native visual artist and curator exploring the intersection of resilience and the sacred anatomy of the human form. A hybrid-taught artist, Moon’s practice is informed by formal study at the Academy of Art University and the discipline developed through her background in the US Army and competitive bodybuilding. Her work has been exhibited internationally at Boomer Gallery (London) and at the Passeig de Gràcia (Barcelona), as well as at New York Fashion Week. Beyond the canvas, Moon is a dedicated art educator and wellness advocate using creativity for community transformation.
