This painting was my first introduction into real art therapy. I used this very simple method of finding images in Google that depicted how I was feeling. This gesture spoke to me because as she was hunched over, she was still very vibrant and beautiful. I enjoyed adding all of the brilliant color into this piece.
 
I felt seen in doing this piece. I was feeling very low at the time. but managed to still pour light and radiant shunshine into everything and everyone around me. I felt empty but always full enough to show up and give. This piece directly reflected that period of my life. It provided healing from people pleasing for me.
